Australia’s first utility-scale solar power station to be built in Moree
Monday, 18 July 2011Leaders in solar and large-scale renewable energy, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), BP Solar and Pacific Hydro welcomed today’s announcement by the Federal Government that their joint proposal to build Australia’s first utility scale solar project, the 150MW Moree Solar Farm in the NSW Tablelands, has been selected as part of the Solar Flagships Program.

What is InnerCool™ encapsulant?
InnerCool™ encapsulant is an EVA formulation (patent pending) with improved thermal conductivity developed by BP Solar. It improves heat dissipation from the back of the module, and thus makes the module run cooler.
What benefit does it bring?
InnerCool™ increases module field energy output by approximately 1-3 percent over a standard module.

BP Solar Receives New ‘VDE Quality Tested’ Seal at Intersolar

BP Solar, a leading designer and marketer of photovoltaic (PV) products, is one of the very first companies certified by the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE) to comply with its new testing requirements. BP Solar modules are now entitled to carry the ‘VDE Quality Tested’ seal, which will be displayed at this years Intersolar Europe international exhibition in Munich after the official certification award ceremony by the VDE.

BP Solar and MetLife Enter Joint Ownership Agreement for Long Island Solar Farm
Monday, 07 February 2011HOUSTON, Texas — BP Solar and MetLife have agreed to joint ownership of the Long Island Solar Farm, a 32 MW solar energy project under construction at the U.S. Department of Energy, Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY.
BP Solar is building and will operate and maintain the 200-acre facility and MetLife is serving as an investor partner. All energy generated from the facility will be sold under a 20-year power purchase agreement to the Long Island Power Authority.
